◎简　　介

　　因失忆而被关入精神医院的医生人见广介（吉田辉雄 饰），始终为一首盘旋于脑中的摇篮曲所困扰。为了查清自己实在身份，广介从医院逃走，偶遇一位哼唱这首曲子的女孩初代（由美てる子 饰），但是女孩就在自己眼前被人杀戮。
　　背负杀人罪名流亡的广介在报上看见一个名叫菰田源三郎（吉田辉雄 饰）的人灭亡的消息，而这人竟与自己容貌类似。广介冒充源三郎借尸还魂，毫无障碍地回到菰田家。同时得知，源三郎的父亲丈五郎（土方巽 饰）因佝偻病离群索居，在海中心的小岛生活。未几源三郎之妻遇害，为探真相，广介与家丁登上小岛，却看到大家间最可骇的气象……
