　　电影"南山的部长们"以韩国中心情报部(KCIA)的部长们(副总理级)与他们所主导的政治诡计为素材， 原作为揭穿韩国政治内幕的同名小说，以历代中心情报部的部长金载圭和金炯旭的故事为中心重新创作而成。1979年下半年，YH贸易女工笼城事务、新民党总裁金泳三的国会议员除名事务以及10月的釜马事务前后爆发，政局不定。中心情报部金载圭和倔强派总统保镳室室长发生磨擦，朴正熙对他逐步反感和不信赖。1979年10月26日，在汉城钟路区宫井洞中心情报部官邸中，朴正熙和总统保镳室室长在宴会酒席中被金载圭用手枪枪杀。
