　　日本名导木下惠介执导并与人结合编剧的本片，首要报告铁工场仆人唯一的儿子遭少年地痞杀死，但凶手仅被判5至10年的不定期徒刑。丧子之痛却得不到正义的父亲对此深感忧愤，因而不惜倾尽一切，四周奔走以呼唤点窜法规，为往后类似的案件能获得公道的判决。但是，直到多年后他积劳成疾而死，仍未能告竣这正当的心愿。影片对不健全的法制以及不公道的旧有势力有所批评。
