　　朋克歌手杰夫·贝得(克里斯·D饰演)由于偷了黑道人物史凯利的钱，单身流亡到墨西哥。墨西哥自在安闲的生活让他堕入了深深的寻思，既有对本身音乐过程的深思，也有缔造灵感尽失的苦闷和心脏人生终极意义的怅惘。另一方面，贝利的妻子露安娜(露安娜·安德森饰)为了追随丈夫分开的缘由，找到了丈夫的朋友克里斯、大卫以及迪恩，层层揭开了事务的真相。

　　阿利森·安德斯有很是不幸的童年履历，她12岁时被轮奸，常遭酗酒的继父毒打。阿利森二十四五岁时进入加州洛杉矶分校电影学院进修。在大学里，她被威姆·文德斯的电影吸引，给这位导演写了无数函件，最初在《德州巴黎》一片中获得建造助理的工作，从电影学院结业后，阿利森与克特·福斯配合创作和导演了《边境收音机》，以后她自力编剧、导演完成了《公路休息站》。她后来的作品包括《芳心之歌》、《我的疯狂生活》和《四个房间》等。比来的一部电影作品是1999年的《糖镇》。尔后一向在拍摄电视剧。
