　　雷诺警局的八个半音调警察在爱好穿短裤、频频要求调离的吉姆（托马斯?列农 Thomas Lennon 饰）率领下奔赴迈阿密介入一个全差人系统的会议，抱着享用阳光海滩希望的一行人到达后，才发现他们居然完全被构造方轻忽，八人无法之下只得暂住粗陋的汽车旅店，岂料会场中的2000名差人遭受可骇攻击，全部中毒，迈阿密海滩堕入了没有差人的逆境，代理市长只得摆脱八人负责这一地域的治安。懒惰成性、毫无义务感的八人把保护治安酿成了一场荒诞的大戏，他们炸鲸鱼尸身、被当地贩毒团伙头子稀里糊涂的拷问后哭天抢地的讨饶、女警察酩酊酣醉后胸口多了一个陌生汉子头像的纹身……代理市长没法再忍受他们搞砸一切，将他们驱逐，满怀惭愧的雷诺警察们登门道歉，却意外发现了代理市长和毒贩头子标狡计。
