　　一向到上世纪70年月之前，瑞士的政治家和宗教魁首们都以为，出于“天道”，妇女没有投票等各种权利。 诺拉是一位年轻的家庭妇女，与她的丈夫和两个儿子生活在一个安好的小村落里，过着与世无争的生活。在这样的瑞士村落里，即即是1968年5月那一场浩荡的政治活动也没能在当地居民中掀起什么风浪来。诺拉的生活本该不会遭到任何影响——直到某一天，她忽然决议要公然加入竞选，为妇女的权利奋斗。虽然遭到各种挫折，也不被家人支持和了解，她仍对峙鼓舞村子里的妇女们一同为自己应有的权利发声……
