　　沃诺斯（查理兹·塞隆 Charlize Theron 饰）童年的不幸把她推向了罪大恶极的人生。她的母亲离她而去，看待她的是无停止的漫骂和虐打。沃诺斯为了满足毒瘾和生存，十明年就起头了卖淫的生活。她在公路上为司机们供给低级的性办事，无望的生活无穷无尽。但是，年轻女孩西尔比 （克里斯蒂娜·里奇 Christina Ricci 饰）的出现让她心中有了亮光，两人起头了一段爱情，住在一路。
　　西尔比对于金钱的需求很大，这使得沃诺斯心甘情愿为爱人奔走赢利。她去口试了好几份工作，却由于常识的匮乏和粗鲁的男性化性情而被拒之门外。她只能重操旧业，在公路上碰见了一个变态的嫖客，一怒之下把他杀死，夺走了他的钱和车。今后，沃诺斯起头频频犯罪，成为公路上的心慈手软的女魔头。
