　　某生物化学公司女科学家在考古时发现装有现代种子的陶罐，她将陶罐转交给经历丰富的老博士。经过研讨，老博士操纵罐子里的种子培育出一种具有奇异治愈功用的动物。但是女科学家的助手凯尔自擅自利，却将种子偷偷带出，诡计与某奥秘构造买卖赚取钱财。他们的买卖进程被两名记者拍了下来，记者的介入也让买卖中断，太古种子更在紊乱中掉入土中。打仗到地盘，种子敏捷生根发芽，很快长出庞大的根茎。如同病毒一般，动物的根茎敏捷舒展，摧毁了沿途所碰到的一切设备修建，无数人在这场意外的灾难中丧生。
　　中情局等平安部分介入观察，可是不管何等狠恶的火力，也没法阻止可骇之物的舒展……
