◎简　　介

　　为研发新药，一个猎人（威廉达福饰演）受红叶医药公司拜托，踏上了捕捉接近绝灭的物种塔斯马尼亚虎的旅程，寄宿在壮阔的塔斯马尼亚平原上一个男仆人外出失落半年的三口之家中。
　　猎人在苦苦搜猎之余，和女仆人还有两个小孩渐生情愫，并目击了塔斯马尼亚平原严重的环保危局，揭开了男仆人失落的迷局，发现了塔斯马尼亚虎的踪影，更由此揣度出了幕后的各种好处关联，因而，受雇的猎人就此停止狩猎，起头专心在孤儿寡母身上。
