　　自力电影导演格雷格·阿拉基(Gregg Araki)凭仗这部1992年的剧情长片《末路纪事》一跃成为90年月“新酷儿电影”的代表人物。这部电影充溢着颓丧和失望的愤慨气味，但又布满黑色诙和谐袒露情欲，在入围昔时的圣丹斯电影节主比赛单元后激发批评界热议，阿拉基也被称为“最轻举妄动的自力导演”。该片间接启发了阿拉基后来的“青少年三部曲”以及《愿望肌肤》，帮助他建立了激进朋克的地下电影气概。
