简　　介  

　　香港旺角的西洋菜街，商铺林立，游人络绎不停。哈公（曾志伟 饰）和石坚（张学友 饰）的手机店隔街相望，两家为抢买卖各出奇招，互不相让。实在二人多年前本为好友，昔时二人智斗包租婆的故事至今仍传为美谈，成果最初却为争小桃红（袁咏仪 饰）交恶构怨。现在，已为哈嫂的小桃红和哈公相亲相爱，但在心底对已经的好朋友石坚也仍关爱有加。两家的后代们私下也有所来往，并逐步互生好感。大业主租金要翻三倍，商户们为此伤透脑子。频频有奥秘人从高处扔硫酸水，生活在小街的人们堕入发急。为了保护保存的权益，为了还西洋菜街以安宁，商户们决议团结分歧，配合捍为自己的故里……
　　本片由邵氏和TVB合作拍摄，因集结两岸三地的100多位明星参演，所以有港版《开国大业》之称。
