　　对男演员马蒂而言，平生中悲凉莫过于此---被女友甩、被掮客人揍、被房东逐出公寓。在缺钱的情况下，他筹算控诉他的掮客人，他招聘脾性怪僻的私人侦察杰克观察这案子。马蒂发现自己对刺激的侦察生活布满爱好。由于怜悯，杰克心不情愿地派遣马蒂去观察一桩不安于室的案子。马蒂全部武装前往比佛瑞基镇履行他的第一份侦察工作，但情况却非他设想的如此简单。小镇是一个充溢着突变基因和怪异人种的大镕炉，包括天生就骨瘦如柴的女人、一群食人族和甜蜜可人但求爱若渴的辛蒂。当马蒂意外地听到当地发生的凶案时，他简直被这镇上的各种怪异乱象逼的快疯掉了。为了成为最神的侦察，他决心要大干一场，马蒂和杰克在比佛瑞基镇四周意外的发现一个核能测试站，他们逐步领会各种异象发生的缘由。
