简　　介  

　　巴塞尔（约翰·米尔斯 John Mills 饰）是山境界卒团新录用的团长，这个严厉而又认真的汉子刚刚上任就决议好好的整理一下军队内懒惰的恶习。在巴塞尔到来之前，步卒团的生活可谓是闲散而又舒服，克莱辛中校（亚利克·基尼斯 Alec Guinness 饰）的日子过得如鱼得水，但现在分歧了，这让克莱辛感应很是的不满。虽然概况上，克莱辛对巴塞尔做出的各种决建都非常附和，但在背后里，他不停的煽惑着下级们对于巴塞尔的埋怨和不满。
　　某日，克莱辛发现自己的部属居然在背后里蛊惑自己的女儿，被愤慨冲昏了脑筋的克莱辛狠狠的将这个不知天高地厚的小子胖揍了一顿。
