　　那布勒斯国王费尔迪南多在临终前对于自己平生的回忆，他已经是一个玩劣少年专门闯祸，后来，年幼的费尔迪南多依照继续习惯成为那布勒斯新国王，为了稳固和奥天时的关系，他将依照他父亲西班牙天子的意义迎娶奥天时皇后的女儿乔万娜，一晃十年曩昔了，未等迎娶乔万娜却出天花死了，为了皇室好处他的父亲又为他挑选了奥天时的公主杰丝帕，可是，她一样出天花死了，原本旨不甘情不愿的小国王黑暗窃喜，为了同盟，他的国务顾问和修士共谋让他签下了赞成婚约的证书，为此他不能不愿意和奥天时公主卡罗莱娜成婚。皇室兴高采烈，而两个当事人却相互并不高兴，成婚以后，配合的政治好处和他们的相互领会使得他们的关系出现了奥妙的变化，这类幸运却引发了费尔迪南多父亲卡罗的担忧，为了儿子不被媳妇控制，他想出了凶险的方式，但是，这一切被聪明的卡罗莱娜发觉，皇宫成为了他们斗智的场所，她处处占据上风，直到费尔迪南多咽气都没有翻身……
