简　　介

　　一位叫卡尔·威恩的修建工人因涉嫌摧残七条人命而被捕，围绕卡尔能否有罪的庭审随即起头。庭审起头前，包括汤米·格林斯、威萨利校长、斯威斯下士、露丝太太、莫尼卡蜜斯、环保人士法兰克在内的十二人陪审团成员齐聚法院大楼前，出庭审理卡尔·威恩一案。
常日里有点大脑“短路”的汤米和妈妈生活在穷户窟。就在四周追求工作而毫无着落，妈妈又和靠捡拾残余为生的杰德叔叔旅游成婚时，汤米意外入选陪审团，成了卡尔一案的陪审员。由于卡尔一案民愤极大，斟酌到庭审的需要，陪审团必须姑且与外界间隔，汤米连同其他十一位陪审员被司法部分安置在一家正在装修的沐日酒店。
死板的庭审，让除了汤米之外的十一位陪审员希望早日竣事庭审，早日分隔喧闹不胜的沐日酒店。可汤米并不这样想。能从工作无着、留宿和饮食无着的穷户窟，一会儿住进沐日酒店，虽然酒店装修的喧闹严重地影响到汤米的一般休息，但汤米还是希望能在沐日酒店多待些日子。为此，一次次一般的庭审被汤米的大脑“短路”给搅乱。
汤米在电视镜头前为沐日酒店做的“宣传广告”，为沐日酒店招揽来多量客人的同时，也为自己换来了入住总统套间的报答。一小我享用着总统套间的报答，汤米就更不希望竣事庭审。所以，在一次关系到卡尔生死的陪审团投票表决中，惟独汤米投了无罪票。长时辰不能同一定见的陪审团，随着卡尔一案姑且开庭而告竣事，汤米没法地走出沐日酒店，回到穷户窟，和杰德叔叔一路捡拾残余。
一个偶然的机遇，直觉告诉汤米，连环杀人案的首犯该当是一位激进的环保人士。当汤米第一个找到入住沐日酒店时让他发生好感的莫尼卡蜜斯和环保人士法兰卡时，汤米丝毫没有发觉到，危险正在向自己一步步袭来。原本，法兰克就是实在的凶手。危机关头，汤米一只叫“豆豆”的宠物狗大显神通，从法兰克的刀下救下汤米和莫尼卡，让法兰克伏诛的同时，还成就了汤米与莫尼卡一段美好姻缘。
