◎简　　介

　　罗伯特（多格雷·斯科特 Dougray Scott 饰）是一位消息记者，为了撰写关于约瑟玛利亚（查理·考克斯 Charlie Cox 饰）的专题报道而对其身世展开了观察。让罗伯特没有想到的是，约瑟玛利亚和自己的父亲马奥洛（韦斯·本特利 Wes Bentley 饰）是青梅竹马的好友，两人甚至已经在同一家神学院上过学。
　　理想上的分歧让这对已经具有坚固友谊的朋友走上了各奔前程的门路。具有坚毅信仰的约瑟玛利亚挑选将自己的一切奉献给万能的主，而马奥洛却没法对身陷在磨难中的国家坐视不管，决然决然的走上的疆场，两人就此再无联系。以后，马奥洛相逢了美丽的女战士艾迪克（欧嘉·柯瑞兰寇 Olga Kurylenko 饰）。
