　　咖啡馆女老板的丈夫愤然离家，她没法了解儿子的音乐、没法接管女儿的时兴、没法忍受襁褓中的哭闹，只得游离在三个孩子的生活之外充任局外人；她经营的咖啡馆内没有咖啡机，吧台积满灰尘；她治理的旅店住着一位迟迟没有作品的画家，一位没有买卖的纹身女郎。巴格达咖啡馆的女仆人被生活的灰尘包裹，已经黯然失容，她没法再容忍一位不速之客。
　　德裔女子将目击的一确切作一股可以了解的迷惑，并执意留下。一场大扫除以后，巴格达咖啡馆成了沙漠中的彩虹；男装改成时兴女装帮女老板的女儿度过青春期；危坐一旁，听女老板的儿子的钢琴演奏；操纵丈夫的把戏道具进修把戏，并为咖啡馆送上余兴节目。德裔女子所作的事只是生活中的常态，可是在巴格达沙漠中的这个咖啡馆看来，实在是一场把戏。
