简　　介  

　　基于库梅尔·南贾尼与艾米丽·V·戈登之间的实在恋爱履历改编。生于巴基斯坦的笑剧演员库梅尔·南贾尼（库梅尔·南贾尼本人），在自己的一场单口笑剧表演以后，熟悉了正在读研讨生的艾米丽·V·戈登（佐伊·卡赞）。两人之间的一夜情渐渐成长为正式的交往，而库梅尔的家庭则要求他遵守巴基斯坦的包揽婚姻传统，与家里先容的穆斯林女性成婚。在艾米丽蒙受一场突如其来的疾病并进入昏迷状态以后，库梅尔与艾米丽的怙恃一路面临这场危机，并不能不与在家庭与自己追求的美式生活之间作出挑选。
