　　悉尼．卢曼特导演的这部低调的言情浅显剧改编自田纳西．威廉斯的剧作《奥菲阿斯下凡》。由马龙．白兰度、安娜．玛格纳妮、乔安妮．伍德沃德等主演。剧情报告一个小镇糖果店的女老板，在偶然机遇下发现她那半身不遂的丈夫昔时竟黑暗烧毁她父亲的葡萄园，害得她流浪失所。因而转而向年轻的流浪吉它手身上追求幸运，可是她恶毒的丈夫不愿放过她，终极还把她射杀。故事由于选角毛病，加上编导腔调暖昧，使人对片中的三角恋爱难以佩服。
