简　　介

　　罗伊（罗伯特·雷德福 Robert Redford 饰）在年少时代便已经展现出了精采的棒球天赋，在父亲的尽心种植之下，罗伊的球技飞速的提升着。在罗伊十九岁那一年，父亲弃世了，哀思和疾苦傍边，罗伊挥别了女和睦丽丝（格伦·克洛斯 Glenn Close 饰），决议前往芝加哥斥地属于自己的新六合。
在芝加哥，罗伊碰见了那时很是著名的击球手帕里斯，两人之间展开了一场较劲，罗伊获得了终极的成功。可是好景不长，一场意外的枪击让罗伊渐渐阔别了赛场，并终极成为了一支残余球队中的一员。当女和睦丽丝带着他们的儿子再度回到罗伊身旁时，罗伊找到了轰轰烈烈的动力。
