简　　介

　　音乐家乔治（杰拉尔·德帕迪约 Gérard Depardieu饰）和园林爱好者布朗蒂（安迪·麦克道威尔 Andie MacDowell饰）的连系，美尽是出自各自的私心：乔治来自法国，想获得一张美国的绿卡，从而在这里长大奇迹；布朗蒂看中了一套公寓，却被告诉只要夫妻才能入住。因此，两人一拍即合，各取所需，成婚后很快就过回各不相关的生活。
美国移民局的思疑随之而来。为了一张绿卡而假成婚的案例他们见很多了，乔治和布朗蒂的婚姻自然也逃不外他们的高眼。疏松认真的观察介入了这对“夫妻”的生活。现在，乔治和布朗蒂必须策划出一个完善的恋爱和成婚进程，摆造出一路生活的各类细节证据。为了能让婚姻变得加倍可信，乔治甚至住进了布朗蒂的家，两人却渐渐戏假情真。
