　　赌城拉斯维加斯的一家著名赌场，克日决议举行一场奖金高达一万万美圆的牌术角逐，此消息一经传出便颤动全美赌坛，来自全国各地的赌术高手纷纷摩拳擦掌、聚集到此地，意图一决高低。
　　前来加入角逐的赌坛大师们不但赌术上个个身手非凡，本性方面也光怪陆离，其中有以宰牲为乐的赌坛名将"德国佬"(沃纳·赫尔佐格饰)，身为五个孩子的母亲的职业牌手蕾恩(切瑞尔·海尼斯饰)，同为职业牌手、为与妹妹蕾恩比拼赌术而特来参赛的拉里(大卫·克罗斯饰)，有着稍微精神题目和严重自闭症、但却被公以为数学天赋的哈罗德(克利斯·帕内尔饰)，因夺得一场在线牌局的冠军而获得此次角逐的入场卷、实在对实在牌局一窍欠亨的安迪(理查德·凯德)，还有从祖父继续来台甫鼎鼎的"兔脚赌场"、现在却因大量欠债而不能不亲身加入角逐的赌场老板"独眼龙"杰克(伍迪·哈里森饰)...各路高手齐聚赌场，个个对一万万美圆虎视眈眈，在这场半斤八两的终极较劲中，不但牌局自己出色纷呈，高手们言语之间的黑暗较劲也火花四射、笑料迭出，毕竟大奖花落谁家，还要看最初一场终极牌局的成果。
